Rakaa “Iriscience” Taylor is a rapper/recording artist.

He is an MC/rapper and 1/3 of the Los Angeles based hip hop group, Dilated Peoples. The group is well respected in the hip hop community and have been around since the early 1990s.

Rakaa has been a proponent of keeping the elements of hip hop culture alive and is a member of both the Rock Steady Crew and the Universal Zulu Nation.

His Korean heritage comes from his mother who is a half Korean adoptee who was born in Korea during the Korean War and came to the United States at an early age.

In his first trip to Korea in 2009, he built bridges with Korean hip hop artists Drunken Tiger & Epik High by collaborating with them on tracks for their albums.

His first solo album, Crown of Thorns, is scheduled to be released in May 2010.
