The 2010 Meet will be held on Saturday October 16, 2010 in Los Angeles, CA and is presented by & Amerasian Unity Foundation.

Here are the details:

Date: Saturday, October 16, 2010
Time: 1:30pm – 5:00pm
Location: Dodam Korean BBQ Restaurant (도담 BBQ) (Will be held in upstairs banquet room)
Address: 901 S Western Ave #104, Los Angeles, CA (Google Map)

This meeting is for anyone whom is part/mixed Korean; It doesn’t matter what the percentage is, what the other mix is, how old you are and where you were born/raised. Other folks (i.e. non-mixed Koreans) are welcome to attend as well as long as they have a sincere interest in people of mixed Korean descent (or if they are a significant other, etc.).

Basically, we welcome everyone to come and make new friends, network and socialize. There will be short discussions by David Lee Sanders from and Tia & Frankie Legoski of Amerasian Unity Foundation. We will follow with open discussion/forum for people to share their mixed Korean experiences.

UPDATE: We are excited to announce that we have confirmed the following panelists for our panel discussion during the meet:

Carlos Galvan – Recording artist, former member of Korean hip hop group Uptown
Phillip Spearman – World-renown tattoo artist (InkWorks Tattoo)
Jennifer Field – Ktown reality show cast member, actress/model and 2006 Miss Asian America
Victor Cook – Director/Producer in the animation industry

They’ll discuss briefly about themselves and their careers. Please come prepared with questions for our panelists as we are looking forward to having a robust discussion.

Dinner will follow in the same restaurant so attendees are welcome (and encouraged) to stay and have dinner together. The restaurant has an all you can eat option that is reasonably priced (under $20/person). That would be the only cost for people who attend, if they choose to stay for dinner.

Please let us know if you can make the meet, dinner, or both so we can have a good estimate on head count. Facebook users can RSVP here: 2010 Meet. Non-Facebook users can RSVP to: David Lee Sanders or Tia Legoski

We were blessed with a great meet in 2009 and we’re sure that 2010 will be even better!

The meet was so much fun. I never had a problem being different, but it’s nice to really fit in and hear that other people experienced life the same way as I have.
